It is a 5-digit number with the capital letter L under the last number XXXXX. and then the capital letter F followed by a 2-digit number FXX under that at a slight upward angle.
Greetings all, I have been trying to research the age of a Model 28, and was wondering if anyone could help me out here. This gun seems to have quite a few numbers on it, and frankly it has me a little bit puzzled. Where the model number is on MOST Smith & Wesson revolvers, this gun has the number 39246 on it..
