This weapon, derived from the boss of the same name, does exclusively magical damage and scales excellently to intelligence. Butterfly Horn is great as well for spear users. I found a Claymore to be a great weapon pre-Moonlight Greatsword, which was my end game weapon for my Sorcerer. The initial stat investment isn't too bad (since you'll be getting the MLGS with it as well), it has a great move set, and looks pretty rad all around. So, the benefit of the Moonlight Butterfly Horn is that it deals only Magic damage, rather than split Physical/Magic damage. And the way damage is calculated in this game penalizes split damage disproportionately, so you may actually see better numbers from the Moonlight Butterfly Horn against enemies that aren't super strong against magic. 2. I would personally not bother with the Magic/Enchanted Longsword but use the other two. Split damage generally sucks in DS1, so even though the Moonlight Butterfly Horn deals Magic damage, the fact that it's pure Magic damage should make its output better overall even against Magic-resistant enemies (weird, I know)..
